Family-Run Tree Surgeons Based in Stalham

A small, family-run tree surgery business based in Stalham, NPTC qualified and fully insured, working across the Norfolk Broads villages and surrounding areas since 2017.

Our Mission

LJ Tree Services started in 2017 and is still run by the same small family team. We're based in Stalham and work right across the Norfolk Broads villages and North Norfolk.

Every job is different, so we visit your property first, talk through what you need, and give you a clear quote before we start. We're NPTC qualified, carry £5m public and £10m employers' liability insurance, and work to safe, methodical felling and pruning practices — including around power lines and buildings.

Our Vision

We want to be the tree surgeon local people call first — and keep calling. That means turning up when we say we will, leaving your garden tidy, and doing work that's safe and lasts. If you're not sure whether a tree needs felling, reducing or just a health check, we'll tell you honestly, and we'll sort out any conservation-area or TPO permission with the council so you don't have to.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

We have compiled some frequently asked questions about our tree surgery work.

How do we pay?

Once the work has been completed we will provide an invoice. We accept cash, bank transfer and cheque. Payment terms are that all payments must be paid on completion of the work carried out.

How much will it cost?

Many factors are taken into consideration when preparing a quote. To give you the best price, we will need to visit your property to discuss your requirements and see the work first-hand.

What if we are in a conservation area or our tree has a TPO on it?

If your tree is protected by a TPO, or you're in a conservation area, certain work needs consent or formal notice before it can go ahead. We check which authority applies, complete the tree works application or conservation-area notification for you, and deal with the council or Broads Authority on your behalf.

Do you remove the waste?

Yes. We remove all branch material with our chipper and dispose of the rakings after tidying up.
